Halloween Slots
Posted : admin On 4/3/2022I’ve got a batch of new Halloween online slots releases for 2020 just ahead. But it’s up to you to decide whether they’re full of tricks or treats!
Five different software providers have rolled out some scary, spooky slot gaming that’s perfect for the season. You’ll come across cauldrons bubbling over with bonuses and apparitions that pop out of the reels to set modifiers into motion.
Halloween Casino Games. When it comes to Halloween Slots, you can generally expect a darker theme, both in terms of gameplay and actual colours – the feel is much less care-free than with Magic Slots. Rotating bats could soar right into the grand prize realm, and if you’ve never heard of a Paranormality Meter, you’re about to, as it signals massive wild transformations.
These new Halloween online slots are filled with ghosts, pumpkins, and witch-created magic. But the leaves don’t need to turn along with the slot reels. All five of these new games are worthy of unleashing their spells all year long.
The first new Halloween online slot release on my list is hot off the presses. It came out the day before I make my picks. But I checked, and it’s already available in some online casinos.
US Players Can Earn Witchy Wins
This 243 ways to win game is one for the US players, as Witchy Wins is by RealTime Gaming, one of the top two software providers for US online casinos. Online casino players in the US aren’t treated to as many new games as in other parts of the world, so it’s a Halloween surprise.
At first glance, I thought I was looking at another new release. I had just covered Microgaming’s Sisters of Oz Jackpots slot, and this one bears resemblance with the (not so) wicked sisters working magic as high-value symbols.
If you’re interested in the Sisters of Oz, you’ll find that it comes with progressive jackpot possibilities as well.
I must get back to these Witchy Wins sisters, though, as they have some spells in store for you. Their magic cauldron isn’t just wild. It can morph into a multiplier wild, as well as replicate into random wild reels. You can’t predict when it’ll happen. After all, this is slot witchcraft.
Multiplying cauldrons are incredibly valuable, though, as multiplier values (X2, X3, and X4) can add up when they hit different reels at the same time. Remember, this is a 243 ways to win game, so payline configurations disappear and are replaced by adjacent reel matches.
Bet as little as 0.40 or as much as 20.00. Either way, you’re in contention for up to 50 free spins in a wild reel bonus round. When winning magic rolls around, you could claim up to x2,000, based on your stake, in a single spin.
Ghost Glyph
Boo!
You don’t need to be scared, though, as Ghost Glyph features more of a Charlie Brown ghost than the horror movie variety.
Quickspin released Ghost Glyph just in time for the season, and it’s something different compared to most Halloween online slots. To start, you’re playing for clusters instead of paylines. Betting ranges from 0.20 to 100.00 with a high-value diamond cluster that’s worth 600 times what you choose to stake.
The star of the show is the ghost, though. It’s awakened by cluster pay-driven tumbles and prompts new feature activation.
The Ghost Glyph Modifier
I’ll do my best to explain this game in a few sentences, as I found Quickspin’s description to be eye-crossing. It’s easier to get the gist by just playing it than reading about the Ghost Glyph feature.
Ghost Glyph is a Halloween-themed slot that’s filled with features.
- Spreading wilds
- Low pay symbol transformations
- Low pay removals
- Massive wilds
- Random bonus activation

Except for the massive wilds, everything else hides inside special urns. Did I lose you already?
Ghost urns are little containers that spin into place along with the new symbols at the beginning of each game. Four of them come out at random and balance above the 7 x 7 board’s right side. A different colored urn is assigned to each unique feature.
When you get a cluster win, the matching symbols disappear, and new ones drop in along with a ghost glyph that rotates in one position. It’s not going to do anything for you unless you win again.
On your second consecutive victory, the ghost pops out of the symbol spot. It rises to the top of the board, knocking over an urn, and releasing the special feature onto the board.
You’ll get your first glimpse of the paranormality meter when you get to the bonus round, which is also “urn activated.” That gauge keeps track of bonus tumbles and leads to massive wilds.
Once you see how the ghost does its job, everything makes sense. Ghost Glyph is a medium volatility slot, and Quickspin promotes a 33% hit rate.
Spectre Estate
It’s a bit like Poltergeist at the Spectre Estate, as an apparition struggles to break through the screen.
You won’t mind, though, as two of those eerie visions lead to unique game features for you.
Spectre Estate is Microgaming’s new Halloween online slot release for 2020. It’s got just the right touch of spookiness with its audio and visual effects. Swirling lights, magically appearing modifiers, and ghostly howls in the background set the stage for this 40-payline game.
Once again, Microgaming partnered with Just for the Win studios for Spectre Estate. It’s a successful match-up, as JFTW slots always offer something just a bit different.
In a way, you could compare Spectre Estate to Ghost Glyph as you’re playing for feature activation. Instead of wins prompting your little gifts to fall onto the screen, a pair of apparitions acts as the trigger.
A Pair of Frightful Feature Activators
Every time you spin the reels, a designation for modifiers like re-spins, multipliers, expanding wilds, extra wilds, etc. appear above each of the five columns from a cloud of smoke. The two feature ghosts determine which ones you’re awarded based on their placements.
For example, if one of the two is on the second reel and “expanding wild” floats above, then the expanding wild emerges.
Individual payouts aren’t as high in Spectre Estate because the feature-rich gameplay cranks up the prizes’ volume.
I don’t think you’ll be frightfully surprised at the graphics in Greentube’s new Halloween online slot release, Spooky Spells. But this game is more about what’s inside that counts.
Spooky Spells is an All Ways Pays game with 243 possibilities. It’s got a cauldron bubbling over with bonus potential and free spins with double-pays. But the feature that I gravitate to is the Spooky Spells Jackpot feature.
You may have played other real money slots with re-spins for jackpots, and, if you’re like me, they’re enough to keep you spinning for quite a while. It’s the same with this game, as “cash bats” could lead to one of four jackpots, including a Grand Prize that’s worth 200 times your stake.
Bats are Circling
If you’re not familiar with these “hold and re-spins” rounds, it’s easy (and fun!). Bats circle the five reels displaying various cash amounts. But they tease you more than anything else because you can’t touch those prizes unless you get six or more bats to appear at once.
The six-bat trigger takes you into the jackpot re-spins round with a counter that starts at “3.”
You’re spinning on new reels with blanks and bats. Your goal is to get full bat coverage and claim the Grand Prize. Every time at least one hits the screen; the counter resets back to 3. Even if you don’t achieve a blanket of bats, you’ll receive all of the prizes on the screen once you run out of re-spins.
The Grand Jackpot is the only one that requires 15 bats. If a different jackpot symbol appears on the board, the prize is yours.
There’s a ten-game bonus round with double-payouts, as well as a cauldron feature. Three of those magic pots dominating a reel get you the Spooky Spells bonus prize feature, like stacked wilds. So, the spells are more surprising than spooky.
Helloween
Play ‘n Go is killing two birds with one stone with Helloween.
It’s not only the new Halloween online slot release for 2020, but an addition to Play ‘n Go’s branded heavy metal-inspired games like Sabaton and Annihilator.
Helloween has got everything you’d look for in a spooky slot for October. From knife-wielding jack o’ lanterns to a heavy metal soundtrack amping up the anticipation factor.
Surprisingly, only ten paylines are used in both the base game and the bonus for such a feature-rich slot. But most of the treats are reserved for the Keeper of the Seven Keys Feature Wheel, kicking off a free spins round.
An ominous-looking wheel turns with seven possibilities.
- “I’m Alive” with sticky, spreading wilds
- “Eagle Fly Free” featuring floating wilds
- “Future Wild” isn’t predicting an event to come, but, rather, wild expansion
- “Dr. Stein” changes low pay symbols into wilds
- “March of Time” is a wild journey, step-by-step, to the left side of the screen
- “I Want Out,” but you’re in, with 2 x 2 wilds
- “Helloween” awards two extra spins and a turn of the Keeper of the Seven Keys wheel whenever scatters emerge, piling one bonus on top of another
You can stake anywhere from 0.10 to 100.00 for slot gaming combined with concert footage.
Halloween 2020 is an unusual one. You won’t see droves of kids wandering the streets in costume, filling their bags with candy as they work their way through the neighborhood. With social distancing, creativity is key.

Oh, and if you decide on Helloween, you get twice the entertainment for the regular price of one spin!

5 Best Halloween Slots Online in 2020
Are you the first on your block to carve a pumpkin? Do you set up a graveyard on your front lawn? Is your attic filled with fake cobwebs, blood, and candelabras? If so, then you’ll appreciate my list of best Halloween slots for 2020. Some are downright...

If so, then you’ll appreciate my list of best Halloween slots for 2020.
Some are downright dark and scary (remember Michael Myers?) while others take a more “It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown” approach. But regardless of the fright factor, you’ll still have plenty of shocking twists on the slot reels.
I’m highlighting a blood-sucking game with a million ways to win, a spirit that would rather mess with the gameplay than scare you away, and another with magic jackpot coins. There’s multiplier mania, as well as splitting pumpkins, mighty tombstone wilds, and wandering reels.
Pour yourself some hot cider, grab a bag of candy corn, and prepare to face your fears in the best online slots for Halloween 2020 – not limited to October!
Creepy Slots Halloween
You won’t find kids in costumes knocking at the door of Ghostly Towers. Instead, the mischievous Pierre is wreaking havoc with your game.
Haunted Reels
Ghostly Towers is a 2020 Halloween online slot release by Greentube (Novomatic) and is perfect for the season. It’s got the spooky sound effects, an apparition that appears and disappears, just like the modifiers in this particular 20-payline game.
The 20 lines are relatively standard, as are the bets that range from 0.20 to 100.00. But everything else will take you by surprise.
Pierre is large and in charge in this haunted mansion and has three tricks up his sleeve.
- Mental Multiplier Mania – you win is multiplied by up to 20 times
- Wickedly Weird Wilds – up to 15 wild replacements hit the screen
- Spooky Symbol Slither – Pierre takes his ghostly sword and slices through symbols on the board, replacing them with one that he prefers (and you will too!)
In the bonus, the 5 x 3 board moves up to make room for another 5 x 3 area that’ll keep track of gem collection.
When you fill a line with five matching jewels, a new feature kicks into gear. Because of the double board set-up, mobile play is in portrait mode.
The eerie music and creepy characters create the mysterious vibe you’re looking for in the best online slots for Halloween.
However, players opt for Halloween Treasures for the second word in the title – treasures. Halloween Treasures is a 243 ways to win game by Realtime Gaming.
Crypt doors are wild on the middle reels. But the gravestone wild, which sticks to the third placement, has multiplying powers as well.
Crystal balls see into your bonus future as you play a dozen free spins, and golden symbols fill a basket that can eventually overflow with 12 shiny coins and a shot at one of four progressive jackpot awards.
To win one of the top prizes, you’ll select from the 12 coins on a new screen. Choose wisely, and you could have the grand prize ghouls which unlock four-figure or more ghostly rewards – no tricks, all treats!
Instead of pumpkins and cute little ghosts that look like they’re draped in white sheets, Million Dracula gets right to the fright factor.
The design is pretty simple, but the music sets the tone in this unusual online slot for Halloween that delivers as promised. You can reach a million ways to win in Million Dracula. Of course, it’ll take some consecutive wins to get there. Fortunately, though, you aren’t confined to paylines.
Hidden Behind the Gate
Million Dracula is a six-reel game set against the vampire’s fortress. The background is a brick wall, and the reels rotate behind an iron gate. Access to the upper rows requires payouts on the spaces that you can see.
Once you get a win, the gate rises a notch to reveal more symbols. It’s different than with cascading slots, as your winners aren’t fleeing the scene. Instead, you get six more added to the board, potentially adding to the combination.
If your win becomes more substantial, the gate rises again. So, you’ll jump to 729 then 4,096, all the way to ten rows and a million possibilities.
There may be seven figures of possibilities, but wagering is limited to 25.00 or a minimum of 0.20. You’ll also benefit from the bloodsucker himself as the game’s wild symbol. Three chalices, presumably of blood, lead you to free spins where you’ll start with an extra row and climb two at a time on your quest for a million ways to win.
Make sure you have the volume up for this game, as the musical accompaniment creates the perfect ambiance as you climb Dracula’s castle wall.
Hot Hot Halloween
Not only is Hot Hot Halloween entirely different from Million Dracula, but it took me a few minutes to figure out what was happening on the screen. That’s because it’s also unlike most other real money online slots.
First of all, I like the soundtrack to Habanero’s Hot Hot Halloween. It had my head bobbing, and I could hear it playing even after I closed the game. Secondly, the wide range of wagering options will appeal to everyone.
What makes this game a bit crazy is how you win. You play Hot Hot Halloween on a 5 x 5 grid, but it’s not a cluster pay slot. Instead, it’s an adjacent reels game, but combinations count anywhere on the board, as long as they form a horizontal line.
Winning lines count as well because you get double pays for matching symbols on the second and fourth rows. Middle row payouts are worth triple the regular value.
There’s another interesting twist to this Halloweenish online slot, and that’s the Hot Hot feature. It’s randomly triggered, but it’ll take standard symbols and split them in two. The high-value “7” can divide into three. That makes it possible to get a 15-of-a-kind for a 1,250 reward!
“Halloween night is when people play tricks on each other….”
For the fifth online Halloween slot that I want to highlight, I’m going back a few years. Even though it’s not a new release, like the others that I’ve introduced, Microgaming’s Halloween, based on the 1978 cult classic film, is an oldie but a goodie.
Halloween Slots With Bonus
Watch Out, Laurie!
This 50-line horror-inspired game isn’t cartoonish. You’ll see the real faces, like Jamie Lee Curtis, circle the reels, and the slot story plays out in front of the Myers house. As the game screen is transparent, you won’t miss a thing.
Halloween’s reels circle with guns that fire, knives that move, and other props from the movie. The familiar and very eerie soundtrack plays in the background as the leaves blow around, and you just know something is about to surprise you.
The tricks in this game include wandering reels, jumbo blocks, and a bonus wheel that could lead you to the Boogeyman Bonus. Face your fears, and you could end up with rewards up to X290 based on your bet of 0.50 or more.
Halloween Themed Slots
Even if you don’t meet the Boogeyman, you’ll still end up with cash multipliers or nine free spins if you end up being the victim.
Halloween Slots Saga
This is one of the best slot representations that’s based on a popular movie. If you’re a fan, you’ll love it! Even if you’re not, the music is enough to drag you into Michael Myers’ world.

- Beautiful Bones – Microgaming

Free Halloween Slots With Bonus
It’s trick or treat season all year long with the best online slots for Halloween. Unlike your bucket of candy, they’re not going to stale as time passes.
For jackpot contention, make sure you check out Halloween Treasures. It also has the 243 ways to win and wild multipliers that’ll keep you busy while you’ll wait for bonus coins. Without a doubt, Million Dracula provides the top winning ways, as you can do quite a bit with a million payouts at once.
My favorite, though, has to be Halloween. I’ve enjoyed it since it was released a few years ago. Microgaming did an excellent job of turning a big screen horror classic into a new small-screen scary slot. You’ll hear the actual music, see the characters, and relive some terrifying moments from Michael Myers’ heyday.
